I’m Jonty Franks, a chef and artist based in the Cotswolds. My creative journey began in the kitchen and has grown into a practice that brings together food, nature and the everyday things that catch my eye.
I work in watercolour and digital media to create colourful, characterful artwork inspired by ingredients, seafood, wildlife and the natural world.
My background as a chef has a big influence on the way I see things. I’m drawn to colour, texture, form and the small details that give a subject its personality.
Every piece starts with curiosity and is made to bring a little colour and character into a room.

Raised in the scenic fields of a Cotswolds farm, this rare Saddleback pig inspired my artwork. I’ve always loved drawing pigs, appreciating their beauty, intelligence, and joyful sway as they move.
